AUDITION INFORMATION

WHAT TO EXPECT
-Dancers will break up into small groups to perform jazz, contemporary, tap and hip hop routines. (More details regarding the routines below)
-Dancers will be asked to improv/freestyle dance in small groups for about 30 seconds
-Dancers will be asked 1-2 interview questions
-Dancers will be asked to demonstrate certain turns, acro tricks and jumps.

AUDITION ROUTINES
Audition routines will be taught during competition boot camp. If they are unable to make it to boot camp other options to learn the routines are:

-Learn them from a friend
-Book a private lesson ahead of time to learn the audition routines
-"Wing it" at auditions

BOOT CAMP DETAILS
Minis (Ages 7-10)
August 9-13
9:00am-12:00pm each day

Tweens/Teens
August 2-6
9:00am-12:00pm each day

DRESS CODE/HEADSHOT/RESUME
All black form fitting attire. All dancers will need to provide a head shot and resume or paragraph about their dance experience.

DATE/TIME
Saturday, August 14th
-Minis - Ages 7-10 @ 12:00pm - 1:45pm
-Tweens/Teens - Ages 11 and up @ 2:00pm-5:00pm

IMPORTANT DATES
The team lists will be up and contracts will be sent out by Thursday Aug. 19.
Contracts will be due by Wednesday Aug 25th
Rehearsals begin Wednesday Sept. 1st.
